Designing Together: Cultivating Collaboration in Creative Environments
Day/Date:
Tuesday, July 9, 2013
Time:
6:00pm - 9:30pm
Location:
Columbia 11
Session Type:
Half Day Tutorial
Description:
Most organizations assume that people know how to work together. They assume that such skills are either innate or taught during childhood. But most designers didn't get Collaboration 101 in design school. No, most designers were taught how to work with other people by being thrown into the deep end.
And now, we all have some bad habits to unlearn.
The focus of this workshop is to learn essential behaviors for successful collaboration. These behaviors entail a harmony between the tools we use, the mindset we have, and the culture we work in.
