Getting Around Washington, D.C. 


By Metro (Subway)

Washington,DC is proud to have one of the world's best public transportation systems. It is easy to master, and an efficient, affordable way to get around the city.  The nearest station to the hotel is Dupont Circle, which is on the red line. 

By Bus

If subway tunnels aren't your style, check out the DC Circulator to travel around the city by bus!  The Circulator's red buses are distinctive and the Circulator comes every 10 minutes.  Each ride only costs $1. 

By Bike

Want to get some exercise while touring the city?  Capital Bikeshare puts over 1800+ bicycles at your fingertips. You can choose any of the 200+ stations across Washington, D.C., Arlington, VA, and Alexandria, VA and return it to any station near your destination.  The best part is that you can sign up for as little as one day.

By Foot

DC is a very walkable city – consider seeing at least some of the sites by walking to them. These DC self guided walking tour maps can get you started on your way. 

By Car

While you can travel around DC by car, it’s not the recommended mode of travel because the city is busy, parking can be a challenge, and we have so many great public transportation options.  If you must drive, here’s information on parking in DC.
