Description: Participants in the workshop will discuss the activities, processes, and deliverables they use to guide user experience design projects and programs. Participants will discuss the use of qualitative and quantitative data to guide user experience design; strategic modeling deliverables, such as customer journey maps, personas, and interaction models; the use of methodologies and processes such as Lean UX, service design, and design thinking; approaches for tracking the user experience of competitors; prioritization of future feature sets; and the use of UX road maps to communicate release plans.

Biography: Paul Bryan is a user experience strategist and researcher who started designing web sites in 1995 in Barcelona. He founded Retail UX in 2002, conducting UX research, strategy and design projects for some of the most successful corporations in the world, including: The Home Depot, Coca-Cola, SAP, Philips, Macy's, Bloomingdales, Cox, GE, Cisco and Delta Airlines. Paul teaches user experience to graduate business students at the University of Georgia, and is co-authoring a book on Experience Strategy for Morgan Kaufmann (2014). He is organizing UX STRAT, the first UX Strategy Conference, which will take place in September 2013 in Atlanta.
